Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi  born on 2 nd   October 1869 was an Indian Lawyer who followed  Ahimsa ( nonviolent resistance) to lead the successful campaign for India's Independence .  Mahatma Gandhi had the distinction of creating an emotional unity among diverse people across such a vast land by infusing nationalism. Gautama Buddha began is life as a prince named Siddhartha Gautama. He  was a  philosopher ,  mendicant, meditator, spiritual teacher, and religious leader who lived in  Ancient India.
